Riding with Confidence 2
November 9 - 13, 2015
Don’t let lack of experience or fear keep you from living your dreams of riding your horse. In this course, you will learn the strategies and techniques that you and your horse need to help ensure safe rides.
Fear is one of the things that both horses and humans have in common. The Parelli approach is proven to help horses overcome their fear, and the same success strategies can be applied to riders who have developed fears. The worst thing you can do is ignore your fear or push through it, because it only gets worse. Learn powerful strategies to help you trust yourself and your horse again so you can stay on track with your passion for horses and riding. Knowledge + Confidence = Happy Riding!
Opportunities to ride during the course will be available as you are ready, but the course will strongly focus on giving you the strategies you need once you return home.
This second course will focus primarily on Confidence once you are in the saddle, and starting to expand your comfort zones with different gaits, larger area, group riding, etc. Each student will be supported in advancing at their pace, and riding in any particular session will not be required.
Prerequisites: Level 1 by Official Audition, or equivalent OR participation in the Riding with Confidence Course Oct 26-30. Students should be confident with mounting, but perhaps need help with confidence while riding (due to speed, larger areas, groups, etc).
